KOLA membership benefits include a
membership list for networking and discussing local issues,
participation in committees from the membership to study occupational
license issues in Kentucky, periodic training seminars conducted by the
IRS , and an association newsletter. The annual KOLA conference is held
in September with speakers addressing issues of interest to the
membership across all subjects and all types and size organizational
units.
There are three ways to become
associated with KOLA:
Members
– any person actively
employed by a unit of government in Kentucky and personally involved in
the licensure, administration or collection of occupational license fees
or taxes. Members have voting rights and may hold office in the
association.
Initial Application Fee - $10.00
Member Annual Membership Fee - $45.00
Group Rate Annual Membership Fee - $150.00
Associates
– any person who has previously been
employed by a unit of government in Kentucky and was personally involved
in the licensure, administration or collection of occupational license
fees or taxes. Associates have voting rights and may hold office in the
association.
Initial Application Fee - $5.00
Associate Annual Membership Fee - $35.00
Affiliates
– any person with an interest in the field of occupational licensing.
Affiliates can be from other organizations, government officials, or
other staff and are welcome to participate in all meetings, committees,
and issues of the association.
